Kittens
Please contact us regarding kitten availability.
Ragdoll kittens come in 6 colours, 3 patterns and 2 overlays.
Colours
- Seal – a dark brown
- Blue – a slate grey
- Chocolate – a lighter warmer shade of brown
- Lilac – a lighter pinkish shade of the slate grey
- Red – a soft marmalade orange colour
- Cream – a pale soft apricot cream colour
Patterns
- “Point” – these have darker colouring on their ears, face mask, tail and legs, with a lighter variation of the same colour on the body, which is sometimes called “saddling”. The less saddling the better for the show ring. Pointed cats should have no white on them. The pointed cat also gets a spot of colour on their underbelly.
- “Mitted” - A mitted ragdoll has the same markings as a pointed ragdoll with the addition of white mitts on their front paws just over the toes, and white boots on their back legs extending to about mid-thigh. They also have a white chin, extending to their chest and runing down their belly and lower abdomen in vaying widths. Mitteds mayalso have markings on their nose or forehead and this is referred to as a “blaze”.
- “Bi-colour” – Bi-colour means two colours. These ragdolls have the darker points on their ears, tails and facemask, but they have an inverted white “V” of varying heights and widths over their noses and mouths. Their backs display the saddle with lighter variation of the same colour and their chins, chest, belly, front and back legs are mostly or all white.
Overlays
- Tortie – derived from the word “tortoiseshell”, and all 6 colours come in tortie, which is their colour mixed with splashes of red and/or cream anywhere on the cat.
- Tabby or Lynx – features barring that is distinct and separated by a lighter background colour according to the chosen pattens as above. They also have a more pale thumbprint in the centre of the ears, and a fine line around their mouths.
All our Studs and Queens are DNA tested for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) negative and PKD(Polycystic Kidney Disease) negative. Our cattery has also been tested for FIV (Feline Aids) and FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) and are free of these diseases.
We have gone to great expense to ensure that your kitten has the very best start in life.
Our kittens are ready to leave their mums and go with their new families at 10 – 12 weeks. By this time their mothers have taught them all they need to know, such as how to use the litter tray – very, very important!
All our kittens are desexed, microchipped, have had 2 vaccinations, are wormed, flea treated, and come with full pedigree papers plus a kitten pack.
I send a first photo to expecting families and I try to send additional photos depending on how busy we are – with the high level of care we give our mums and bubs, this takes up a great amount of time.
Visiting prior to picking up your newest family member is not possible as my babies are not fully vaccinated, and their mothers also need the time and privacy to teach them all they need to know.
You are more than welcome to come visit and meet our beautifull ragdolls at the show. We are regularly showing all over the country – many of these shows are in Sydney.
A deposit will only be taken when a suitable kitten is available and the balance will be due when your little one is ready to join their new family.
The cost of a pet kitten is $850.00 for any colour and pattern. The cost of a show kitten is the same when available.
We do not sell kittens for breeding and we are a closed cattery – no exceptions.
